In the period from May 28 to June 2, Dean of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Design of the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.K. Zhurgenov, professor B.N. Baidilda and 3-year students in the framework of the museum practice program under the direction of the Head of the department "Painting and sculpture" prof. Turgynbay visited historical places along the Great Silk Road in the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand). During the internship at the National Institute of Arts and Design named after K. Bekzoda in Tashkent signed an agreement on cooperation between the two universities, to improve the qualifications of teaching staff, exchange of experience and mutual cooperation in the educational process.The first destination was the mausoleum of our ancestor Great Khan Tole bi. Further, our students went to Khiva (Ichan City) – visited Tower and Mosque Islam Khodja in Kalyan mosque in Bukhara and Ulugbek in Samarkand (1417), also visited 3 great constructions at the Registan Square: Ulugbek Madrasah (XV cent.) , Shir-Dor (17 С), Madrasseh Zhalantos Bahadur (17 BC) and then Gur Emir – mausoleum Tamerlana (14-15 cc.) observatory Ulugbeg (15 С), etc. Students had the opportunity to plunge into ancient history and enrich their spiritual world.
